Creators pack for YouTubers

Flexibility is key with this new pack and not only some extra controls in the inspector. All the macros are set to “GroupOperator”, this allows you to open them on the fusion page. Here is a rundown of each asset.

YT-Batteries

Using the controls in the inspector makes this component flexible and can be used as an icon over the top of another asset or clip.

On the edit page, you can adjust the position, pivot, size & angle. Followed by check-boxes to change the batteries capacity. All of which can be keyframed to create some interesting animations. You then have a choice of the entry animation, bounce down, left elastic, right elastic and by not selecting any animation the asset will be static.

YT-BatteryBar

It’s an animated battery and a progress bar all in one. A responsive asset which adjusts according to its length. You have position and colour controls in the inspector.

YT-BatteryMeter

Charging or Discharging battery meters progress indicators. A responsive asset which adjusts according to its length. Switch between the 2 styles or duplicate the layer and have both.

YT-CircleWipe

A great way to remind viewers to subscribe to your channel. You can change the colours of the asset as well as the text.

YT-CircularProgress

A circular progress indicator with the percentage in the centre. Use the inspector video controls or the viewer transform to position & size this asset. Need this asset to count down not up? Adjust it to the length you require, make it into a compound clip and select the reverse option in the Change Clip Speed option.

YT-ColorElementTool

This tool allows for great flexibility when adding png files (Logos). This asset requires user input in the inspector. Use the browse option to locate a png file. Once located the file may need its dimensions resetting. (Reset Clip Size) this will set the clip to its default dimensions. The Auto Resolution checkbox will reset the canvas if required. You can use the Global Element Position controls to get the desired size & position.

When using a png sequence you can use the “Loop & Reverse” options.

YT-CountDownTimer

A simple but useful count down timer which is responsive. Need this asset to count up not down? Adjust it to the length you require, make it into a compound clip and select the reverse option in the Change Clip Speed option.

YT-DiamondScreen, YT-EndCard, YT-EndElement, YT-EndGreen, YT-EndScreen, YT-FashionEndScreen, YT-FlatScreen, YT-SeeThrough. YT-SpecEnd, YT-TwinOpaque

YouTube has a great underused feature call the end screen, this is where you can promote your channel. A good tip is to record 10 seconds to 20 seconds of extra footage then add a promotional end screen. You can layer components over these screens making them very flexible.

YT-ElementTool

The same as the YT-ColorElementTool but without the colour. This is the preferred tool for bringing in png-sequence files. To select a png-sequence, click browse and navigate to the directory with the png-sequences in. Select the first png file in the sequence and resolve will bring in the complete sequence. There are a few caveats to this tool one of which is png-sequences must have consecutive numbers 01, 02, 03 etc. If Davinci Resolve is set to show individual frames this tool can fail. Ensure show individual clips is turned off before importing a png-sequence.

YT-FrameProgress

A framed progress indicator with the percentage in the centre. Use the inspector video controls or the viewer transform to position & size this asset. Need this asset to count down not up? Adjust it to the length you require, make it into a compound clip and select the reverse option in the Change Clip Speed option.

YT-FullSubscribeBar, Yt-SubBarMedium

Get more likes and subscribers with this modern flexible asset. Lots of options in the inspector including 6 different animations.

YT-IntroPanel, YT-LogoRecord, YT-Opener, YT-SideOpener, YT-SixBars, YT-SlicePanel

Flexible show opener screens with plenty of options.

YT-LiveCountDown

A responsive countdown for any situation, I have keyframed the colour here but you can change it to suit your theme.

YT-MentourTags

Swap out the logo to let everyone know where to find you on social media. 3 built-in entry animations to choose from.

YT-ProgressDot

A dot progress indicator with the counter in the centre. Use the inspector video controls or the viewer transform to position & size this asset. Need this asset to count down not up? Adjust it to the length you require, make it into a compound clip and select the reverse option in the Change Clip Speed option.

YT-SocialCorner, YT-SocialTags

A little reminder to your viewers on where to find you on Facebook or Twitter.

YT-SoundOn

Remind the viewer to switch on the sound to enjoy your great content.

YT-Spinners

A lot of coding to bring you a flexible title with spinners. 11 spinners to choose from plus 3 different entry animations.

YT-SubBellHand, YT-Subscribe, YT-SubscribeBell, YT-SubscribeBounce, YT-SubscribeTag

Get more likes and subscribers with this modern flexible asset.

Caching

When duplicating some components the render cache will hold the last setting. It is advisable when layering & duplicating components to clear the cache before viewing.

16.2 Transition Installation

I am sure you are aware that Davinci Resolve 16.2 has a new feature, the fusion transition panel on the edit page. This is a game-changer as you can now just drag and drop transitions directly onto the edit point between 2 clips. A caveat, of course, those clips need to have “handles” a portion of each clip to actually work on.

Installation

To install the 16.2 Transition pack from our store couldn’t be easier, on windows we include an installer, which will install the files in the correct folder. Once you have run the installer just restart Davinci Resolve 16.2 and you will see them in the Effects Library > Video Transitions > Fusion Transitions.

You can install them manually if you wish and Mac users, unfortunately, do not have an installer.

  • Unzip the folder and move the .settings file
  • Windows place the files in C:\Program Files\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve\Fusion\Templates\Edit\Transitions
  • Macintosh HD>Library>Application Support>Blackmagic Design>Davinci Resolve>Fusion>Templates>Edit>Transitions

Then restart Davinci Resolve 16.2

Usage

The transitions function the same way as the built-in Davinci Resolve transition. Select your transition and drag it over the cut, select the transition to see controls in the inspector.

The transitions are responsive and can be extended using the inspector > Resolve tab. Some of the transitions have extra controls in the inspector > fusion tab. Controls which work with expressions can not be shown in the inspector as this would break the transition.

Please note the Perspective Transitions have a minimum length of 3 seconds, any shorter and the keyframes become squashed and the effect looks choppy.

Customisation

You can customise and save your settings for future use. Adjust the transition length and parameters to suit your need. Then right-click on the transition and select “Create Transition Preset” and name the transition. This will create a “User” panel above the fusion transition panel with your custom transition.

Wait there’s more goodness!

Transitions which have extra controls in the inspector panel can have 6 versions. This means you have 6 different versions of the transition, tweak a parameter to your liking and then select the next version number, make another tweak and so on.
